Intellimmerce — Full changelog For each release, see the entries below. The latest version is always at the top. The current release notes also live in readme.txt under "== Changelog ==". = 3.7.0 = * New: a kind of shop for services and plans. Consultancy, maintenance, hosting and support are not sold like a mug: what matters is what is included, what is not, how it is delivered, how long it lasts and how fast you answer. It asks for those, and for the figures that separate one plan from the next, which is what keeps three plans of the same service from reading alike. It stops asking for weight and measures, and for materials, presentation and care. * New: the searches your visitors ran and lost are now work you can do, not a list you read. While the record fills up it tells you since when it has been counting and roughly when it will start being worth reading, instead of showing an empty list. Intellimmerce sorts every failed search into the three things it can actually be: something you sell under another name, something you do not stock, or a question that is not a product. For the first kind it names the product and rewrites its sheet with the words the customer actually used, one at a time or all at once. It lives on Home, where you already are. It reads your categories, tags and attributes to work it out, which is precisely where the shop search did not look, and whatever that cannot place is put to the AI in a single call: that is what catches a customer asking for a camisa when your product is called a Shirt. * Improved: the catalogue scan tells you what it is doing. The bar moves on its own, the screen switches to the results by itself when it finishes, and it now says "queued" instead of a bare 0% before the first batch has run. On shops without Action Scheduler it says plainly that it is waiting for the next visit, because that is what it is doing. * Improved: the demand lists are tables now, each with its own search box and pages of ten, so a shop with a year of searches does not get a wall of rows. Every list ends in something you can do: rewrite the sheet where it found the product, open the shop search for the terms people run most and see for yourself what comes back, and hide a term you are never going to sell, on any of the four. Hidden terms can be brought back. * Improved: the dashboard widget says how many searches were for something you already sell, which is the cheapest sale in the building: the work is done and the wording lost it. * Improved: the cost heading on Home says the figure instead of the word "This month". * Improved: the photo batch shows its progress too. It was the same problem the catalogue scan had: a number painted once and a line telling you to reload, on a job that starts in the background, so the first thing you saw looked like a failure. * Improved: the kind of shop and the fields it implies stopped being two unrelated screens. Settings now lists the boxes that kind of shop asks for and links to them, and the Fields screen says which kind of shop its list came from. * Improved: the two buttons on the product tab say what they touch and sit where they act. "Fill these boxes from the product" now heads the boxes it fills, with its own progress and its own answer, because it is the first thing you press and not a footer of the form; at the bottom there is a single button, "Write a draft with AI", which now says what you get instead of what the plugin calls it, with a line underneath listing what it writes and reminding you that the product does not change until you press Apply. The block of data read from the product says up front that there is nothing to fill in there. The long paragraph of help that existed to explain the old pair is gone. * Improved: the toolbar no longer says a product is fine when nobody has looked at it. It tells apart "not scanned yet", "scanned, nothing to fix" and how many things to fix, on the product, the category and the cart, and the category entry now carries the number it is there for. * Improved: the Photos screen can ask for work itself. When nothing is waiting for review it says how many products the scan found with photos missing ALT text and lets you queue them right there, instead of sending you to the Catalogue to do it. * Improved: what the plugin writes is called an Intellimmerce sheet everywhere it could be confused with the product page WooCommerce already calls a product sheet. Your products always had one; what they may not have yet is ours. * Fix: field labels and hints appeared in English on translated shops. They were being written into the database with their text already resolved, which takes them out of translation for good. They are now stored only when you have actually changed them, and the ones frozen by earlier versions are released on update; anything you wrote yourself is kept. * Fix: the product tab showed the internal review state raw, so a shop manager read "Status: applied". States are now written in your language, and in the same words on every screen. = 3.6.3 = * Fix: the update check could stop working for the whole site, not just for this plugin, if another plugin handed WordPress an outgoing request whose body had an unexpected shape. The filter that keeps this plugin out of the report sent to WordPress.org now checks that body before reading it. = 3.6.2 = * Improved: the plugin now only installs an update whose package comes over https from its own update server. WordPress hands that address straight to the installer, which downloads it and unzips it over the live plugin folder, so the address is checked rather than trusted. Nothing changes in normal use; it closes the door on an update answer that had been tampered with on its way here. * Improved: plugin icons and banners are only accepted over https, and the answer from the update server has a size ceiling, so a server that misbehaves cannot fill the site's cache. = 3.6.1 = * Improved: your shop no longer reports Intellimmerce to WordPress.org. WordPress asks the directory about every plugin you have installed before it looks at where each one takes its updates from, so this plugin's name travelled there on every check even though the directory has nothing to say about it. It is now taken out of that request, out of both of the lists it appeared in. * Improved: a release can now say something before you install it. If a version needs a word of warning or a heads-up, WordPress shows it under the plugin's name in Dashboard > Updates. * Improved: the update check waits five seconds for an answer rather than ten when somebody is looking at a screen, and thirty when it runs in the background, which is the criterion WordPress uses for its own checks. A slow moment on the plugin site holds up your admin for half as long. * Fix: updates stopped arriving, silently, whenever WooCommerce was deactivated. Intellimmerce stays active in that situation but does not start, and the updater used to start with everything else, so a shop that ran without WooCommerce for a while would never be offered another version again. The updater is now wired before anything else and no longer needs the rest of the plugin to be running. = 3.6.0 = * New: what people ask you for. Every search your visitors run on the shop is counted, and Home now shows the words they searched for and found nothing at all, plus the ones they search for most. Nothing about the visitor is stored: no address, no session, no record of who searched what, and searches by anyone who can manage the shop are ignored so your own testing does not count. It is worth leaving on from today even if you have no use for it yet, because the list only starts being useful once it has months behind it. * New: the scan now finds products fighting each other for the same search. Two sheets can read completely differently and still chase the very same query, which no amount of comparing their prose catches, so this compares what a search engine actually reads: the title it will list them under and the headings of their descriptions. Each one is reported next to the product it is fighting, because that is the only way the finding is actionable. * New: your catalogue on the WordPress dashboard. How much of it is in good shape, its three commonest problems, the drafts waiting for you and the handful of products worth opening first, on the screen you see when you log in. * New: Intellimmerce in the toolbar, reporting on whatever you are looking at. Browsing your own shop, it says what the scan found about the product, the category or the cart on screen. Only people who can manage the shop see it, and it stays out of the editors. * New: two feed fields written from the applied sheet, ready for any feed plugin to map. Your reviewed FAQs go into a custom field in the question and answer format Google reads for its conversational surfaces, and your specifications into product detail lines. The plugin does not build or deliver feeds, and is not going to; what travels in them being right is another matter. * New: updates come straight from the plugin site. WordPress checks for them, tells you about them and installs them exactly as it does for any other plugin. There is a licence key field, and it is optional: leave it empty and updates still work, with nothing about your shop sent along. * New: Intellimmerce quietly notes what you change about a sheet after applying it, which sections you rewrite, how much shorter you like them and which words you drop. Nothing reads it yet and nothing changes because of it. It is a record being built for what comes next. * Improved: tested with WordPress 7.1. * Fix: photos in AVIF were invisible to the plugin. They never got ALT text, and the photo audit could not tell when two products were showing the same AVIF picture. WordPress 7.1 processes images in the browser and AVIF is one of the formats it produces, so this was about to stop being an edge case. * Fix: a shop manager could open the settings screen and fill it in, but saving it failed. Every other screen in the plugin is open to whoever manages the shop, including the ones that spend money on AI, so this was an oversight rather than a decision. * Fix: no more deprecation notices in the log on PHP 8.5 while the photo audit runs. = 3.5.0 = * New: ALT text for every product photo, written by looking at the photo. Featured and gallery images are sent to a vision model together with the product's real data, one background job each, and land on a new Photos screen where you read the sentence against the picture, edit it if you want and apply it. Nothing reaches your media library until you do. * New: photo audit, with no AI calls. The scan now reports products with no photo at all, and products showing the very same picture as another product of yours, matched by what the picture looks like, so a re-upload under another name or at another size is still caught. * New: anti-invention guard. Every figure and every claim in a generated sheet is checked against the product's own data, and whatever cannot be traced back to it is listed before you apply, with its own finding in the catalogue and its own filter. * New: "Write ALT text" from the Catalogue, per row, over the products you select, or over everything in the current filter, with an estimate of what a hundred photos cost. * New: a "Digital downloads" store type, for ebooks, templates, presets, music, software and courses. It asks for the format, what the download actually contains, what it takes to open it, the licence and whether updates are included, and reads the product's own files to know what the buyer receives. * New: a field editor. What each product is asked for is no longer fixed in the plugin: switch a field off, reorder it, rename it, and pick where it reads from and where it should look instead when that comes back empty, all from two plain lists rather than by knowing any syntax. You can add fields of your own the same way. The kinds of shop become a starting point you load rather than a list you are stuck with, and loading one keeps the fields you added yourself. * New: fields by category. A rule can ask for something in one category and everything under it, or stop asking for something there, so one catalogue can hold clothing that needs a size and homeware that needs a capacity without every product editor showing both. * New: fields can read a lot more of what your shop already holds. Besides the SKU, categories, tags, brand, measures, weight and price it already read, a field can now take the GTIN, the kind of product, stock status and units, backorders, shipping class, average rating, number of reviews, units sold, the purchase note, the regular and sale prices with their start and end dates, and, above all, any custom field your products carry, so whatever you keep in ACF or another plugin does not have to be typed again. * Improved: three menu entries instead of seven. Catalogue now holds Products, Photos and Categories as tabs, and Settings holds General, Fields, and Import and export. Every screen keeps its own address, so an old bookmark still lands where it did, and the Categories and Import screens finally look like part of the same plugin as the rest. * Improved: the missing-ALT finding now covers the whole gallery, not just the featured image, which is where most of a catalogue's photos live. * Improved: cost tracking now counts the images sent to the AI, so the monthly total does not under-report what reading photos costs. * Improved: a store that kept its own field set from an earlier version now reads measures, weight, colour, material, scent and its four link URLs straight from WooCommerce when those boxes are left empty, instead of asking for them by hand. Nothing already typed is overwritten and no field is removed. * Improved: the occasion is no longer a required field, neither in the personalised-gifts preset nor in an older store's own set. Filled in, it is still the only occasion ever mentioned; left empty, the product gets written without one instead of refusing to be written at all. * Improved: more fields fill themselves from your global product attributes when you leave them empty: net content, origin, ingredients, allergens, season, fit, model, scent, room, style, capacity, skin type and warranty. * Improved: the content language now starts on the language your site is written in, instead of always opening on Spanish. Whatever you choose and save still wins, and a site in a language the plugin cannot write in starts on English. * Fix: a shop whose default product category is a real category, rather than the untouched "Uncategorized" bucket, no longer loses it. It was being discarded on every product that had no other category, which left the sheet with nothing to say the product was, blocked generation with "not enough data", and dropped the internal category links. * Fix: measures no longer come through as "N/A" for products with no dimensions set. WooCommerce returns that text translated, so the check against the English literal never matched on a store in any other language. * Fix: "Propose data with AI" no longer answers in the shop administrator's language when the product is written in another one. It was inconsistent rather than always wrong, which is worse: the same English product came back in English twice and in Spanish the third time. It now names the language of the product text before extracting anything, and builds every value out of words from that text. * Fix: "Generate with AI" now uses what the input fields say on screen, not only what was last saved. Typing a required field, or accepting what "Propose data with AI" filled in, and pressing generate straight away used to fail with "not enough data", because those values only reached the database when the product itself was saved. They are now kept as part of generating. * Improved: the built-in instructions the AI starts from are now generic. They no longer name a language, impose Spanish number formatting, tell the writer to address the reader informally or talk about events, all of which came from the shop the plugin was first built for. The content language is set by its own setting, and anything particular to a shop belongs in that shop's own instructions. * Improved: numbers and prices now follow the content language instead of always using Spanish notation, so an English store reads 1,234.50 rather than 1.234,50. * Improved: "What the product is" falls back to the product's own name when there is neither a value nor a category, so it can no longer be the reason a product refuses to be written. * Improved: a virtual or downloadable product no longer lists weight and measures among the data read from it. They cannot apply, and empty slots only read as something you forgot to fill in. * Fix: the forbidden-words setting shipped with eight Spanish words applied to every store in every language, while the box that is supposed to show them rendered empty. It now starts empty, and what the box shows is what is actually applied. = 3.0.0 = * New: catalogue scan — a free, offline audit that reports products with no description, thin copy, no SEO meta, no image ALT, no sheet yet, not enough data to generate, and above all near-identical copy across your catalogue (MinHash with LSH banding, no AI calls). Dated snapshots make the before/after visible. * New: Home screen — catalogue health, the findings worth fixing first, first-run steps, AI connection status and this month's usage, replacing the settings form as the plugin's front door. * New: Catalogue screen — one list with sheet state, scan findings and overlap, filters by state or finding, per-row and bulk actions, and generation for a whole filter. It replaces the separate batch-generation and review-queue pages. * New: cost estimate before queueing a batch, and a monthly usage total, both measured from your own generations. * New: store-type presets (general, fashion, food, personalised gifts, cosmetics, tech, home) and one-click mapping of your global product attributes. * New: work-first order. The scan records how many units each product has sold and weights it by how bad its findings are, so the catalogue is ordered by what a broken sheet actually costs you, and Home opens with a "Start here" shortlist of your best sellers that need fixing. * New: dead-weight finding. Products published long ago that never sold a unit and say nothing get flagged, with a reversible "move back to draft" action next to the usual "write it a proper sheet". * Improved: sheets now read SKU, categories, tags, brand, measures, weight, price and the category and add-on links straight from WooCommerce, so a store can generate without typing anything. Internal links no longer need URLs pasted by hand. * Improved: review now shows what the product says today next to the proposal, explains the writing approach in words, and reports overlap as a traffic light instead of a raw percentage. A draft generated in the background shows up when you open the product. * Improved: settings reorganised into AI connection, brand voice and product data, with automation settings alongside them. * Improved: forbidden words now cover inflected forms, so banning "perfecto" also rules out "perfecta". * Improved: the plugin now wears its own mark. The brand cube replaces the generic dashicon in the menu, on every screen header and on the product tab, and the screens share one header instead of a notice-looking banner. Colours come from intellimmerce.com, over native WordPress styling. * Fix: applying a sheet refreshes that product's findings instead of leaving the previous diagnosis on screen. * Fix: the old "Batch generation" and "Review queue" URLs now redirect to the Catalogue instead of showing a permissions error. = 2.0.0 = * New: automation (optional, off by default) — auto-generate a draft when a product's data is complete, flag sheets as stale when their data changes (with optional auto-refresh), and a scheduled background sweep (Action Scheduler, with a WP-Cron fallback) that keeps drafts up to date. Everything still lands in the review queue; nothing is ever published automatically. = 1.0.0 = * New: modular core with a double AI backend — the WordPress 7.0 core AI Client (any active connector) with a direct Anthropic or OpenAI fallback. * New: Product Sheets module — structured input fields, single-product generation to a draft, and apply to the product (title, descriptions with internal links, specifications, "who it's for", FAQs, SEO meta and image ALT). * New: anti-duplicate engine — opening-angle rotation per product and MinHash similarity scoring within a group. * New: batch generation by category with background processing (Action Scheduler, with a WP-Cron fallback) and a review queue. * New: structured data — enriched WooCommerce Product schema (or a self-contained Product node on block themes), FAQPage from the generated FAQs, and ProductGroup for variable products. * New: data onboarding — CSV import/export of the input fields (spreadsheet-friendly template, validated preview before applying) and an AI "Propose data" action that pre-fills empty fields from the product's existing content, always for human review. * New: category descriptions — AI copy for product category pages built only from the category's real data (hierarchy, products and their sheets), with deterministic internal links, cross-category similarity scoring, SEO metas, and draft/apply review flow. * New: settings page for backend, model, content language and writing rules.
